Teaching
is one of the MOST complicated jobs nowadays, because it require skills of
teaching , not only know your stuff, but as a good teacher one must know how to
do and also know how to be in manner in his subject .
In
addition there are many roles the teacher plays, from counselor to
disciplinarian. This can make the role of just teaching subject matter that
much more demanding.
I prefer a teacher that perhaps does not know a LOT of things but that in
some way is capable to transfer all he/she knows instead of a teacher that do
knows a lot but is no capable to transfer all he/she knows.
I have chosen to be a teacher. I am
very much thankful for being one.
A
GOOD teacher has a profound knowledge of the pedagogy, learning, teaching, as well as
acquisition of knowledge/skills.
A teacher facilitates the process of learning, making the students level better to render students as
autonomous as possible, piquing students' innate curiosity and tapping into their
own interests too.
Attentive
listening in tandem with empathy I deem to be by far the most essential trait
of a good teacher (or human for that matter : ) ).
Enthusiasm,
and a strong character, self-confidence to know when to apply firm behavior in
order to maintain order in the classroom, especially if the teacher gets to work
within a really big group of students.
Hmmmmm,
I reckon that's about it, in a huge nutshell, as, after all, it's the details
that matter.
